Student Questions!
Yes, I own literary and historical action figures.
When I visit schools, I make a video ahead of time to introduce myself to the students, explain what I’m coming to talk about (usually learning, engagement, the value of failures, self-advocacy and self-efficacy as well as substance use prevention in all its forms) and invite them to use my email to ask questions ahead of my visit.
These questions are so good, so smart and insightful and honest and true, that I am making a new video series called “Student Questions.” You can find it over on my Instagram but all of the videos are linked here, in order.
Is it okay to use melatonin to go to sleep?
Is it okay to go to sleep while watching a screen?
Is it okay to go to sleep while listening to an podcast, audiobook or music?
Tell me about caffeine. How much is too much?
What about energy drinks? How bad are they for me?
What’s a BORG and what’s the problem with them?
Have a question? Ask it here and I will get back to you with an answer.*
* Here’s how I handle questions from a confidentiality standpoint: your question will be treated as confidential, though I may anonymize in order to answer the question in a video. There is one big caveat, though. If I believe you are danger, or present a danger to someone else, am obligated to tell someone in a position to keep you or someone else safe.
